In today's athletics it's all too easy to get caught up in the X's and O's of the game. We worry about how many wins or losses does our favorite team have. Are we getting the playing time we feel we deserve. Somehow we lose perspective.
Then you get the perspective of a wonderful young man by the name of Jesse Stroup. Jesse attends Georgia Highlands College and is the Manager/Assistant Coach on the men's basketball team.
The dictionary defines perseverance as the steady persistence in a course of action, a purpose, a state, etc., especially in spite of difficulties, obstacles or discouragement.
I don't want to give away the story but the short video tells of Jesse's perseverance. But I promise this, you will have an admiration for this young man, respect for this athletic program, a few tears of joy and some personal humility.
Please watch and share.
