Chargers Give Back to Stomp out Cancer and ALS

Several Georgia Highlands athletic teams helped raise money to help find cures for cancer and ALS. The Charger basketball teams had their Chargers Stomp out Cancer Game and helped raise $2,012 dollars for Paint Georgia Pink Inc. a Breast Cancer patient support group. The Charger Softball team had a weekend fundraiser to benefit ALS research at Emory University with over $700 raised. Lynne Dowd , grandmother of Charger Softball coach Melissa Wood who was recently diagnosed with ALS threw out the first pitch.
