CARROLLTON, Georgia – West Georgia Tech head baseball coach Todd Pratt is hosting the inaugural “Todd Pratt Baseball Showcase” for baseball players in grades 10-12 on October 26th in Douglasville.
The showcase will allow high school athletes the opportunity to display their skills and talents in front of representatives from NCAA, NJCAA and NAIA colleges as well as Major League baseball scouts. Representatives from the Sunbelt League, a college summer wooden bat league, will also be in attendance.
Pratt, a former Major League catcher, will serve as lead instructor.
“This will be my first event to showcase area talent,” Pratt said. “I am excited by the commitments we have had already. This will be a great opportunity for student-athletes to exhibit their talents in front of major colleges and pro scouts.”
Pratt has teamed with Dirt Baseball to provide each participant with a video of their workout to share with other college coaches not in attendance. Visitwww.dirtbaseball.com for more information.
The showcase will be held at Norton Field at the Douglas County Sports Complex, located at 6246 Cedar Mountain Road in Douglasville. Registration begins at 8:45 am.
