Tigers sweep LaGrange JV: 12-2 and 5-3

CUTHBERT, Ga. -- Dalton Kuhn and Chandler Raiden picked up wins, as the Tigers swept a double header over the LaGrange College JV, taking game one 5-3, then breaking out the offense in a 12-2 win in game two.

Kuhn pitched 3.1 innings, and struck out 5 to run his season record to 2-3, and Levi Knight picked up his 2nd save of the year in game one, while Raiden struck out seven in 4 innings of work to even his record at 2-2 in game two.

Mike Warren paced the offense, going 5 for 6 in the doubleheader, with 4 doubles, and 2 RBI, Willie Thrower walked 4 times in game one and stole three bases, then went 2 for 4 in game two, Jack Bell had a pair of hits and 3 RBI on the day, Brett Anderson hit his 4th homer of the year and had 3 RBI, while Lavontae LaCount hit his 1st, Michael Branche and Cary Holloway had a pair of hits and 2 RBI each, and Anthony Young chipped in a hit and 2 RBI.

The Tigers take on Darton State next week in GCAA play, with a single game Tuesday night in Albany, then a single nine on Friday, and a doubleheader Saturday in Cuthbert, at the Hord Athletic Complex.
