2019 Signing Class Comes With Big Talent and Expectations for GMC Football

Coach Bert Williams and the rest of the Georgia Military football coaching staff have been working overtime the past month recuiting the southeast and have come up with a strong 2019 class that inked their LOI's yesterday. Coach Williams gave us a rundown of what to expect this fall.

"We were very excited about our class on National Signing Day from top to bottom. It is perhaps one of the most even classes in regards to addressing all of our needs across the board. We truly do not have any holes on the depth chart at this point and feel like we got better at every position with this group.

While I think all of these guys can be impacting players for us next year, some of these guys do present some interesting skill sets.  Offensively, Anthony Belton give us a really good sized, athletic offensive tackle who should be ready to play immediately.  Trey Smith is a very interesting prospect at TE considering his size (270lbs) and athleticism – the guy can run & catch and hammer you as well on the line of scrimmage. Kelsey Demps is one of those guys who can literally score anytime the ball is in his hands at slot receiver – has excellent quicks and vertical speed as well. He will be fun to watch! And our running back group is simply outstanding – tremendously excited about them.

Defensively, we frankly excited about every one of the guys that joined us and expect them all to compete to start – this group is ready to go!  Up front, Reginald Pearson will be a strong inside player on the DL, Keevauhn Patterson can help both inside and outside, and Zaire Harrison comes off the edge like a bolt of lightning – really fired up about these guys.  We signed several outstanding linebackers, but really interested to see how Chris Sanders does in our 3-3 scheme. With his length, speed, and punch – he should be a really impacting guy.  On the back end, we signed an exceptionally strong group overall at the safety positions and Im really looking forward to seeing how Ja'Maric comes in and competes at the FS position" says Williams.

Expectations are high for the Bulldogs this fall.
