Williams has big night in NIT opener

Former Gordon State College Highlander Jarvis Williams had quite a night in Murray State (KY) University's first-round NIT game against the University of Texas El Paso. 

On Tuesday, Williams and the Racers pulled away from the Miners with a convincing 81 - 66 victory.  Williams led all scorers with 25 points and came up big around the glass with 14 rebounds in the contest. 

The win marked the team's 15th straight home victory in the CFSB Center and moved the Racers to an impressive 28 - 5 overall record.  Murray State must now travel to the University of Tulsa and face the Golden Hurricane in second round NIT action.
