Middle Georgia Tech Women Stun #1 Seed Georgia NW Tech to capture the DIII Championship

WARNER ROBINS, Ga. -- The Middle Georgia Tech women’s basketball season will continue for at least another week as they were victorious in winning the Georgia Collegiate Athletic Association / Region 17 Division III Women’s Basketball Tournament defeating Georgia Northwestern Tech 64-58. 

Middle Georgia Tech will travel to play Montgomery College from Region XX in the NJCAA DIII District G Championship at Montgomery College Rockville Campus on Saturday, March 2nd at 2 PM.

The Lady Titans nearly allowed an improbable comeback in the game’s final minutes. GA NW trailed by as many as 17 points in the game. Shootig only 5-40 from the 3pt range sealed the Lady Bobcats fate.

Kameelah Wynn led the Lady Titans with 19 points and 12 rebounds. Player of the year Ashley West contributed 13 points and Tynisha Walton and Asheleigh Burnet also contributed 13 points each.
