Warriors pick up region road win
WARRIORS GET BIG ROAD WIN OVER CENTRAL GEORGIA TECH

The Middle Georgia State College men picked up the their second region win and second win of the new year with a 72-54 victory of Central Georgia Technical College on Monday January 7th. The Warriors started the new year with a 74-65 win @ USC-Salkehatchie on Thursday 1/4.
On Monday the Warriors took a three point half- time lead, and managed to extend it early in the second half to lead to the victory. “Our defense in the second half was the key” states Head Coach Scott Moe. “We added in some zone with our man defense and it kept CGTC off balance.”
The win moves the Warriors to 11-1 on the season and 2-1 in the region.
Cortez Riley lead the Warriors with 20 points while Shane Heyward added 13.
Warriors travel to Smyrna on Wednesday to play Chattahoochee Tech who is currently 7-0 in the region. Game time is 7:30pm.
Warriors return home on Monday January 14th when they host South Georgia Tech at 7:30pm in the Morris Gym.
