Warriors pick up big conference win over Georgia Perimeter
Cochran, GA
A late rally by the Middle Georgia Men allowed the Warriors to move to 17-6 on the season and 8-6 in conference play with a 60-52 win over Georgia Perimeter College. The Warriors broke open a three point lead to 13 points late to hold off the Jaguars for the eight point win. “It was a typical MGSC/GPC game “states Head Coach Scott Moe. “It was close and physical, which is what we expect every time we play them. They have such a successful program year in and year out, so it is always special to beat them.”
The Warriors were lead in scoring by Cortez Riley with 14 points, Quincey Bennett added 10 points. Riley also lead the Warriors with 8 rebounds.
Warriors return to action on Wednesday 2/13 when they host Central Georgia Technical College at 7:30pm in the Morris Gymnasium.
