GMC Captures Second Straight Title
Warner Robbins, GA — Georgia Military College (GMC) men's golf team captured the GCAA Championship Monday at Southern Landings Golf Club for the second straight year. The Bulldogs won the 36-hole multi divisional tournament by a commanding 56 strokes (575) with GMC's Riley Campbell capturing the low medalist with a 69/71 two round 140 total. Oxford-Emory carried a two round total of 631. Andrew finished third at 641.
The Bulldogs team ran a clean sweep with all five players capturing the top five spots. Campbell(140), Trip Dye(143) Hayden Hardy(147) Gavin Gignilliat(153), Levi Gregg (154) were named to the GCAA All Region team as the top five finalists. GMC's Coach Kirk Kayden was selected as Coach of the Year.
GMC advances to the NJCAA DIII National tournament at the Chautauqua (NY) on June 2-5.
