East Georgia State remain undefeated

EAST GEORGIA TOO MUCH FOR WARRIORS

The East Georgia Bobcats went on the road and handed the #15th ranked Middle Georgia Men’s Basketball team their first loss of the season with a 73-65 victory while remaining themselves unbeaten.

The Bobcats had 3 players score in double figures. Jordan Johnson's 25 points lead the Bobcats while Tre' Hagood and Brian Pearson added 17 and 10 points respectively.

Coach Neil Bailey discussed the importance of the win. “ Any time you can go on the road against a tough team like Middle Georgia and win you have to be pleased. Middle Georgia is a well discipline, hard working team that made us earn everything we got. I just hope we can maintain this momentum and continue to get better.”

The Bobcats move to 8-0 on the season, while Middle Georgia goes to 8-1. Warrior Head Coach Scott Moe talked about the Bobcats after the loss. “ They (East Georgia) are a very physical and experienced basketball team, They forced us into 28 turnovers and beat us on the boards and that was the difference.” Roshaun Milline was the only Warrior in double figures with 11 points.
